CURIOSITY. VISION. FUN.
THATS ME.
I am Madison West. I am an Ohio-based artist and fabricator. My work bridges painting, sculpture, and mixed media. Her visual world is heavily influenced by retro science fiction, deep aquatic biology, and the subtle magic of natural landscapes.
WHAT I DO
After studying special effects makeup and visual design in Los Angeles, I spent several years in and around Los Angeles refining my fabrication techniques and material expertise across various projects. Returning to Ohio in 2020, I found a strong creative community in Springfield, where I have maintained a resident studio at The Hatch Artist Studios for the past four years. My practice continues to evolve through dynamic color choices, multi-layered tactile surfaces and whimsical surrealism that invites my audiences into a vivid, imaginative, narrative-rich visual spaces.
